So I really didn’t want to have to do this, but for the context-less: I’m homeless right now (as in the sleeping-on-the-concrete-behind-a-bar and stashing-my-things-in-a-bush kind of homeless) and my birthday is a week from tomorrow. I’d really like to have enough money to maybe get off the street and into a room for my birthday or at least enough money to get myself something to eat in the meantime. My phone also completely kicked the bucket and my laptop is on its last legs, so sooner or later I’m going to have to buy a cheap Android or I stand absolutely no chance at finding a job and getting out of this mess.

So I've been living on the streets for the past couple of months now and I don't have a job. I've been getting all my money from commissions, donations, and panhandling (which is illegal where I live and could get me arrested). A couple of days ago, $40 was seized from my bank account to pay off someone else's debt. I have no money left. I didn't actually plan to take a DA break, but somehow it happened.

I don't think I have any active followers on here, but on the off-chance I do, you can keep up with me @ bulimicspacepug on tumblr (and to a lesser extent Wattpad). I'm going to try to be more active on DA and post more of my writing here, though; it's just a shame how small the writing community is here.

Hello, @ anyone who happens to be reading this.

I don't know if I've talked about this at all on my DA, but I'm one of the founding members of a recently-formed visual novel development team by the name of Jockstrap Penguin Studios. We're in the early stages of developing our first visual novel, and you can find more info about it over on our tumblr (jockstrappenguinstudios.tumblr.com), but the basic premise is that it revolves around the lives of a group of trans and NB teenagers in a fictional support group in Orlando, Florida. The player's choices, in typical romance VN style, will determine which (if any) of the main characters they end up befriending and potentially pursuing a romantic relationship with. 

Now, here's where my request comes in. At the moment, we have a solid team of writers, musical composers, and programmers on board. Our art department, however, is severely under-staffed; we have one artist working mainly on small details like text boxes, calligraphy, and logos, and another working on concept art and sprites. At the bare minimum, we need at least one more artist on the team to tackle backgrounds. It's at this point that I'll bring your attention to the title of this journal. Our team is currently composed of fifteen individuals—every one of them transgender, non-binary, genderfluid, or elsewhere under the "not cis" umbrella. We're very much hoping to continue that trend as we recruit new team members. 

In addition to artists, we're also looking for two more editors/beta readers to work with our writing team.
